Blowing Bubbles Over Berlin

Bubblegum will turn post-election blues into bright pink when Berlin joins in the International Bubblegum Month festivities next month. On October 21, 2005, 10.15 p.m., the Xenon cinema will host a special screening of the documentary "Bubblegum Music Is the Naked Truth", a behind the scenes exposé of the chewiest pop music ever, featuring bubblegum's heaviest hitters, from the Archies and the Partridge Family to the Bay City Rollers.

D. Strauss, music editor of Berlin's English language monthly EXBERLINER will read juicy passages from Kim Cooper's acclaimed book upon which the film was based. After show lounge features D. Strauss in record-spinning mode as DJ Milk-It (Musicmope/Exberliner).
